Privacy Policy

This is a personal site. It runs no advertising, sets no tracking cookies, and sells nothing to anyone. This page describes exactly what happens to data, feature by feature, so the claims made elsewhere on the site can be checked against it.

The tools run in your browser

Every tool on this site — the image converters, the generators, the calculators and the timers — executes entirely inside your browser. Files you select are read into memory on your own device, processed with browser APIs, and written back out as a download. No file you open in a tool is ever transmitted to this server or to anyone else. There is no upload endpoint to send it to.

One tool deserves a specific note. The background-removal option in the JPG to PNG converter runs a machine-learning model, and that model file is downloaded from this site to your browser the first time you use it. The direction matters: the model comes to your image, your image does not go to the model. The model and its runtime are hosted on this domain rather than a third-party CDN, so even that request goes nowhere but here.

Some tools remember your preferences between visits using your browser's own local storage. That data stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and never reaches the server. Clearing your browser data removes it.

The contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, the name, email address, subject and message you type are delivered to my inbox as an email. That is the whole mechanism — the submission is not written to any database and is not retained anywhere other than my mailbox.

Delivery is handled by Resend, an email service that processes the message in transit. Their privacy terms apply to that leg of the journey.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is stored in a contact list held at Resend. It is used to send occasional posts and nothing else. It is not shared, sold, or combined with anything. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask me directly and I will remove you.

Analytics

The live site uses Vercel Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you across sites. It records aggregate signals — which pages are visited, roughly where from, what kind of device, and real-world loading performance. It does not receive your name, your email, or anything you type into a tool or a form.

Other services in the page

• Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers process the requests your browser makes, including your IP address, in order to return the page.
• Sanity stores the blog content and serves blog images from its CDN, so loading a post fetches images from that domain.
• Fonts are self-hosted. They are served from this domain, so no request goes to Google Fonts and no third party learns you visited.

There are no advertising networks, no social-media tracking pixels, no session recording, and no third-party analytics beyond the one named above.

Links out

Articles and tool pages link to external sources. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else's site under their policies, not this one.

Your data

Because so little is collected, most requests are simple to honour. You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted — in practice that means removing you from the newsletter list and deleting any email you have sent me. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of previous versions; if the distinction matters to you, keep a copy.
